My name is Aaron Bingea.

I teach middle school mathematics in Chicago Public Schools.

For the last four years I have taught special education and math at Marquette Elementary school in the city's southwest side.

For a second year I am participating in the Yale National Initiative as a national fellow. Last year I wrote and implemented a unit on proportional reasoning. This year I will write a unit on developing students' number sense with the number line.

I am interested in developing students' mathematical practices through problem solving based lessons.
